Our Mission
Frayed Knot Collective is an ensemble of artists and supporters of the arts who reimagine the entertainment industry: producing accessible and collaborative art by placing artists in control of their resources and providing the opportunity for them to build community with each other and their audiences. Through an intersection of artistic mediums, the diverse, artist-led team is committed to uplifting rich, authentic storytelling and leading the next generation of industry professionals into an innovative future.

The Vision
Our Story
We met in New York while studying at NYU, united by our passion for performance and creation. We shared frustrations with current entertainment industry systems and a lack of opportunity to collaborate.
We started this company in the living room of our Artistic Director’s apartment in our junior year of college, looking towards a world in which 58.4% of educated artists graduated unemployed in the arts and entertainment industry (Employed Historian), so we’re paving a new path.
This collective was founded as a platform to uplift passion projects and original works, promoting community and accessible art for all.
